The high power zoom models (20-100x70 and 25-125x80) make it easier to see details at extreme powers when conditions allow. Professional High Powered Binoculars – 20x magnification and 50mm objective lens ensures wide angles viewing from more than 1000 yards. These observations were on a night with a moon that was almost full and a fair amount of light pollution, so I am sure it would be possible to see more if the conditions were better and with more experience of where to look! This strap allows users to keep their binoculars within easy reach, ready to capture celestial marvels at a moment’s notice.

The Celestron SkyMaster 25×70 Binoculars are a widely favored, budget-friendly pair of binoculars offered by Celestron.

Rather than pull out all the telescope gear, these binoculars do a fantastic job for planets and stars.

Staying at the budget end of the market, as you would have to pay considerably more to better them, a pair of 15x70 binoculars would be the better choice, as their brighter views and more manageable magnification make them far more enjoyable to use. Understood the link between lunar and moon but a bit slow when it comes to rain guard and lens covers. The Zhumell 12×70 Astronomy Binoculars present a wider field of view and marginally lower magnification than the SkyMaster 15x70s while maintaining a similar construction to the SkyMaster 15×70 or 25×70 binoculars. The top flap is held closed with a strip of Velcro which holds very well, but makes a huge noise when opening it, which to be fair is not such a great deal with these long distance binoculars as whatever you are about to look at will probably be a fair distance away and not be frightened off. It has the usual details on how to adjust the inter-pupillary distance, change the focus, set the rubber eye-cups, attach it to a tripod and how to care and clean the bins. Zane has owned over 425 telescopes, of which around 400 he has actually gotten to take out under the stars.

These Celestron SkyMaster's have ocular lenses that are 23mm in diameter, which is around the same size as the larger ones found on most standard bins. The diopter adjustment enables users to fine-tune the focus to match their eyesight, providing customized viewing for optimal clarity.

This is why a binocular is great for scanning the sky and a telescope is great for focusing in on a single distant object. All in all I am very chuffed with these binos, which will get much more use looking for fuzzies later on in the year when darker skies arrive back. On most binoculars this grip location is also at or fairly near to the balancing point on the device, but because the barrels are so long and the objectives so large on these SkyMaster's, I found that this is not the case on these and if you simply hold them at this point with your forefingers on the top and your thumbs underneath, they want to tip forward.
