About this deal

Real love was gritty. The real kind of love never quit. Someone who loved you would do what’s best for you; they’d stand up for you and sacrifice. Someone who loved you would face any inconvenience willingly. You didn’t know what love was until someone was willing to give up what they loved the most for you. But it was also never letting them make that choice, either. it honestly took me way too long to get into the book. the inner monolgue was going a bit too ham at times. wrap it up miss girl. it got better as the book went on but in the beginning it just kept taking me out of the story because the information felt so tedious and i’d just be thinking “fam when are we continuing the story??”

THIS IS IT. THIS is what I’m in the mood for. ALWAYS. I’ve come to realize that Mariana Zapata is officially one of my favorite authors. I’ve read five by her, including three of my favorites in the world ( Kulti, The Wall of Winnipeg, and now this one) and I must say, each one that I’ve read, I’ve loved better than her last, making this one, my favorite of them all. That had me sitting up straight. Lou had an active imagination, but not that active. He’d spared us from having imaginary friends, but he hadn’t saved me from pretending the toilet was a birdbath and he was a parrot when he was three. There are plenty of unexpected twists and turns in store for the foursome as the truth about the events preceding. It is an enjoyable read with constant developments between the past and the present. There are several sub-themes woven into the primary setting of the novel. It is a great story with an imaginative plot, believable characters and most of all heart and wisdom. It is truly a gem of a book. It shows that love is timeless. It will make your heart want to explode. This story is beautiful, magical and it’s a wonderful experience. In short, it is one of the best novels of all time that touch the soul of readers with powerful words. Details About Wait For It by Mariana Zapata ePub However, he happens to be a pornstar, Robbie Lingus. This book is more romantic comedy vibes than slow burn and angst romance. Yeah, it falls more into the comedy category. The relationship was rushed, and I did not connect with the characters. The love interest was cool but nothing too special. meanwhile, Dallas... i also dont know what to think of him. he didnt feel like how i typically pictured older heroes in my head (?????)Diana, Josh and Louie have just moved to a new neighbourhood. While settling in is always hard, changing work locations at the same time is even harder. On top of that, keeping ten and five-year-old boys occupied is a never-ending job especially when there are sports involved. Josh, the ten-year-old is a baseball player and he’s pretty good too. Diana is busy and hasn’t had an opportunity to find him a new team to play with. It just so happens that after an extremely weird situation happens, she comes face to face with the coach for the local team. This is my first read from Mariana Zapata and omg I loved every second of it and probably this book is one of my favorites read of the year so far. In the beginning, I thought that slow burn is not really for me but once I started this book I couldn’t stop. This affected Diana, but she also didn’t let it get to her too much, and I had to call her brave for that. When you come from a household like Diana’s, it takes courage and bravery to stand up for yourself, even at the age of 29, because you feel like you’ve disowned your family when doing such actions. Even though it took her a while to realize it, Diana was perfect for her nephews, and I don’t think they could have asked for anyone better. I’m not usually a fan of slow burn (I’m impatient) but MZ is the one I make an exception for as the stories are so well written there’s always lots going on to keep me occupied whilst the two main characters dance around each other and get their act together.

IF THERE IS ONE THING MZ KNOWS HOW TO DO, IT IS TO GET ME OUT OF THE BIGGEST BOOK SLUMP IVE BEEN IN FOR MONTHS!!! I’d seen at least fifty houses before coming to this one. Fifty different sale listings that didn’t work for one reason or another. They had either been too far from good schools, the neighborhood had looked sketchy, the yard hadn’t been big enough, the house needed too much work, or it had been out of my price range. what can i say about this book?! i don’t have the words to convey how beautiful this was, it deserves all the love and praise in the entire world. this story is so raw, emotional and beautiful, i loved every second of it. mz always knows how to gradually build-up the friendship and chemistry in a way that grabs hold of you and doesn’t let go to the very end. diana and dallas’ relationship was so beautifully written, it felt incredibly realistic. i’m just going to say the slow burn and build-up was every bit of perfect! 🤌🏼

Maryse: So I’m reading “Wait For It” and I gotta say… the build-up and slow burn of it is pretty much… perfection. THIS is what I’m talking about when I say I want to have to work for it, and I LOVE that I’m only in HER head and I have NO clue what he’s thinking. AND I LOVE that he’s so BELIEVABLY brooding and stand-offish and there are no innuendos from his part. But you know what? We don’t know either way. ‘Cause we’re only seeing life (and him) through HER eyes. And his attitude is true. His brusque persona is WHO we get, because for the most part? It IS who he is. And for a good reason. I have a favorite that was emotional and beautiful, but don't want to spoil it. There are so many Fantastic moments, all heartfelt and showcases parenthood, relationships, friendships, and starting over in a masterful and real way.

If anyone ever said being an adult was easy, they hadn’t been one long enough. Diana Casillas can admit it: she doesn’t know what the hell she’s doing half the time. How she’s made it through the last two years of her life without killing anyone is nothing short of a miracle. Being a grown-up wasn’t supposed to be so hard. With a new house, two little boys she inherited the most painful possible way, a giant dog, a job she usually loves, more than enough family, and friends, she has almost everything she could ever ask for. Except for a boyfriend. Or a husband. But who needs either one of those? This though was agonisingly slow, and even though I enjoyed the listen (Callie Dalton doing a wonderful job as always), I felt that this one was a wee bit dragged out even for MZ hence the four stars.I didn’t mind how slow it was or that the main characters had a few interactions in the beginning of the book, that I wasn’t sure that the hero IS “the hero”. I still enjoyed it. I just loved seeing those characters’ day to day life. I enjoyed being a nosy invisible neighbour whose watching every detail of their life. Claire– Diana’s relationship with Lou and Josh was probably one of my favorite parts of the book. She was patient with them without being too overbearing, she was loving but not suffocating, and best of all, she made them laugh. It was a series of tragic events that brought the boys under her guardianship so her ability to remain positive and jovial in front of them was heartwarming. Clearly, this was not part of her plan and parenthood certainly detracted her from having a social life but she found solace in ogling one grumpy neighbor who the boys took an immediate liking toward. He’s set in his life, has no time for bullsh*t, although is somewhat gentler in his approach. He coaches little league baseball, he’s solid in his company, and has enough of his own life to deal with. It’s not Grumpy Sunshine because they are both grumpy. I love all of these books very much, but the banter in love is the best. They are iconically funny together. They do not get along at all, but you get crumbs of them throughout the entire book, and you start to see that evolve. The figure skating aspect is also incredible. This is one of my best books, and it has been getting a lot of hype, as it deserves it. If you want to start with Mariana Zapata’s best books, it’s a very good one. 9. Luna and the Lie

Why should you read Mariana Zapata’s books? Is it worth it? There are many questions readers ask me frequently. I’ll answer them now. Here are several reasons: Synopsis: [Translated from French] “What if your employment contract turned into… (but we won’t tell you what!)Dallas' non-marriage felt like a super flimsy hurdle on their road to relationshipville, in my opinion. It wasn't the MZ book I loved the most, but it definitely was the one I felt closer to me and the one that gave me more emotions.
